Digital content service provider YAAP has acquired Brand Planet Consultants for $3 Million in an all-cash deal.
Brand Planet will be rebranded as Yaap post acquisition.The deal will help Yaap with its global expansion plan.
The founders of Brand Planet, Anjan Roy and Shouvik Roy, will join the YAAP management team as senior partners.
YAAP, founded earlier this year by Nikhil Bapat and Manan Kapur, raised $5 million in funding from Rainmaker Ventures in July. The company provides content design and marketing technology tools for content discovery and distribution.

Brand Planet’s clientele includes Coca-Cola, Mrs Bector’s Foods, Godfrey Phillips India, SBI Cards, Hero Cycles, among others.
Gurgaon-based Brand Planet that worked in collaboration with Pune-based Elephant Design till June 2016 under the name of Elephant Delhi, was founded in 2008. The company provides services such as market entry strategy consulting, product packaging design, company logo design, employee communications, and brand positioning.
